I have been sitting in my cage
For how long?
That, I do not know

I have been silently crying out
Hoping that someone will hear
That someone would break the chains

Of course no one heard
Whom can hear a cry without sound?
Not even a fool would believe in that

But it doesn't take much
A mere whisper is enough

Then someone will hear you
Then someone will hold you close
And listen
